September 2024
It's September and officially fall. Now to watch all the movies spooky season has to offer. I almost bought the entire Friday the 13th catalog. Apple was offering a deal for all 8 for $20. I was restrained. Nobody needs all of those unless they are going to write a book about them and you need a refresher/deep dive into the series.
A bit about Movies
I watched Watchers directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan. It felt like I was watching Lost in a Fairytale Ireland forest. Some additional info, I haven't heard much about forests in Ireland and looked up why. Only 11% of Ireland is forested. This is up from what used to be 1%. I live in Maine and I can't imagine what that lack of tree's might have looked like. Anyway, it was not that scary but it was entertaining.
Trick 'r Treat is apparently a classic, and that little pumpkin head thing is all over the place in the Spirit of Halloween stores. I watched it. It was chaotic and not in a good way. I may have nodded off at least once in the middle of it.
Happy Death Day - How have I never seen this. It's Groundhog Day but Horror. The main character is annoying in the classic slasher trope. It was so good that I started watching the follow Happy Death Day 2U
I also went to the movies to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, a solid follow-up to the original that I also watched at the movie theatre when it came out.
A bit about Reading
Finished Black Sheep by Rachel Harrison - Who doesn't love a book with a pink cover about Satanists
Reading We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer - I have read that it gets super scary but I'm 21% in and while a little weird, not super scary yet.
A bit about Writing
Writing has been light, and I need to start a new story soon.
That's September

Here's a photo of some clouds at night over the house on the first day of fall.
